Greatest Craps story and strategy

As someone whom is only mildly experienced at the wonderful game of craps, I am fascinated at the complicated game. I only have but a handful of experiences making money or fun at this game, with the last turning $200 into almost 2k. (Yes, im a low roller). What are some of your stories and strategies at making money?

A long time ago when playing at binions they had $2 tables and for that matter most of vegas. I used to do a dice set 7. anyways when the dice came to me somebody put what looked like a 3 inch stack of green chips on the hard six and hard eight. i hit the hard 6 after a few rolls and the guy bellows out some green for the shooter and i got a $25 chip, still had the dice and a few rolls later hit the hard 8. and he tossed me another green chip. still had the dice and i hit the hard 6 and this time i got a black chip. I noticed that to pay this guy off they started using yellow chips(have no idea what those were worth).

Copied this from my post on a similar thread earlier this year -

On a Wednesday morning in the summer of 2012, my buddy and I were playing a $5 craps table at Cosmo. Up walks Phil Ivey and he gets a marker for 200k. He was playing $5k on the passline with full odds and had a come bet every roll - again with full odds. My buddy has the dice and rolls for about twenty minutes. Phil cashed out for just over $1,000,000. He was a jerk.

Davidandlily - the wonderful thing about the "complicated game" of craps is, the best strategy is to only play the 6 best bets on the table, ignore all the other bets, and it is no longer a complicated game. In fact it is one of the simplest games in the casino.

Holding the dice at El Cortez for 40+. Minutes, was last night in Vegas, so I didn't have much $$$ left, but made the table a huge amount of money ..People were giving me chips ..at end of table was a legally blind man, and as I went to window to cash out, he followed me up with his cane leading the way..He approached me and handed me $200, saying he hadn't won that much money in quite awhile...Looking at him, I thanked him, but refused his generous offer..

Then I had to hustle back to the strip,it was 3:30 am, pack my stuff, checkout and catch a 7 am flight back home...
