Best two bedroom suite - approx 500 a night?

We are looking to come to Vegas in April 2015 and we want to stay in a really nice suite with great views of the strip. We have about $500-700 a night to spend and we are wanting to stay somewhere between the Bellagio and Palazzo on the strip. We've stayed down the MGM end before so want to experience something different.

We are definitely after;

- great views

- separate dining and living area

- oversized jet tub

- two separate bedrooms

So far Mirage and Bellagio are high on our list, but i was wondering if anyone else had some suggestions within our price range?

Thanks so much!

What dates in April, as prices vary a lot depending on conventions, sporting events, etc?

Mirage 2 bed penthouse would be my first choice for an affordable suite of that size if you want the northern end. I prefer the tower for the 1 bed but the 2 bed pent has better bathroom in the second bedroom. It should still be within budget, at least on some dates. About $500/night (plus tax) on the random April dates I checked. South facing pool rooms will have a great view right down the strip.

If you don't mind a non-casino property, the two bed penthouse or loft at Vdara should both be in budget, although the loft will be more towards the top end. Just south of your preferred area, but it's connected to Bellagio by a covered walkway. I don't know the specific views on these floors although many of their other rooms overlook the Bellagio fountains, so I would assume this is also available.

I don't know much about it, but I would assume the 2 bed pent at TI would be within budget, and south facing rooms at TI have some of the best views on the strip.

Lolly B is spot on.

The Vdara is the newest and finest of the 3 she has suggested. There are a couple of 2 bedroom floor plans. I think the 2 bedroom ones are all on the "Penthouse" floors which adds some extra housekeeping and turn-down amenities and the most stunning views..

The Jacuzzi tubs seem a little less common these days. I haven;t used the penthouse level at the Mirage or Treasure Island but both hotels are very nice, They are older builds so may have them.

Treasure Island being probably the most affordable and well known also for the views it affords by being right at the bend in the strip.

All 3 have good spas with big Jacuzzi hot tubs. And I know it is a very fine subtle point but the hot tub in the spa at Treasure Island is one of the only ones in all of Vegas that has shoulder height jets to ease that part of the body. That alone has made me choose Treasure Island on visits where I know I will be playing a lot of cards.

I find the lack of a lobby casino at Vdara an asset. My hotel is my place to relax, I don't particularly enjoy a long smoky maze of casino between me and my room. The Casinos of the Aria, Bellagio and Cosmopolitan are SO close they may even be closer for Vdara guests than some towers of the casinos themselves.

Also true is how critical the exact days are in succeeding in meeting your $$$ goals. Weekends may need to be avoided, or if a major convention is hosted by your desired hotel, a weekend inclusion may save you money for example.

The Tower Suite at Mirage is one of our favorites in Las Vegas. Partly for the nice dining room area. But all of our suite experience is with 1BR suites.

The Marquee suite at MGM has always been very affordable for a 2 BR suite. You might check it out.

You don't mention how many beds you need, but be aware that most 2BR suites have 2 beds.

We can't know if any of these are in your budget without knowing EXACT dates. There is one large convention in April, and the ACM Awards. If your dates are near these, the rates will be much higher than normal.

Thank you so much, so much good advise already. I will spend today going through each of these options.

Dates at this stage are 27-30 April. We'll be driving to vegas on the 27th after getting off a cruise in San Diego.

We are after two beds, it's for my husband and I and our brother.

Do you think once we find what we are after should we book now? Will it get cheaper or is the further away you book the cheapest?

The ACM Awards are not in Vegas for 2015. They moved on, Texas is it.

Just FYI - I did give you suite recommendations in my first reply because you specifically asked for a dining area, but just so you (and anyone else reading this thread) know - it's almost always cheaper to get two standard rooms, adjoining if desired, than a suite. Or another option is to get one mini/true suite for you and your husband, then a standard room for your brother.

Those dates will miss NAB, which is mid-month. You are also going mid-week, which should keep the rates much lower as long as nothing large gets scheduled in the meantime. I wouldn't expect a very large convention to suddenly be on at short notice, but you never know!

It's early to book, but you should always book as soon as you have confirmed dates on a fully refundable rate. Then you are protected against rates going up. No way of knowing for sure what rates will do between now and then, as it's all supply and demand. If capacity isn't as high as expected, they will lower them or release an offer. Then you can either rebook, or contact the hotel to get your rate adjusted.

For the hotels I listed on those dates at the moment, including fees/taxes...

Mirage 2 x king resort rooms - $410/night

Mirage 2 x king tower rooms - $480/night (better bathroom, high floor)

Mirage 2 bed tower suite - $600/night

Mirage 2 bed pent suite - $700/night

Vdara 2 x deluxe suites (their base room, which is a mini-suite) - $365/night

Vdara 2 bed pent suite - $600/night

Vdara 2 bed loft suite -$740/night

Don't seem to be able to book the TI penthouse online, but the standard rooms (x2) started at $270/night, more for a strip view.

Also Vdara being a condo hotel, all rooms have a dining area. The base room will only seat 2, but all other suites have at least a 4 seater table.

Other condo hotels although all are also out of your preferred area include Trump, Elara and MGM Signature. Trump has great views being right at the top end (opposite Encore) but is set slightly off strip. Not really an issue since you're driving though, as I'm assuming you'll be keeping the car while in Vegas.

mirage 2 bedroom tower suite as already suggested. be sure to book direct with the hotel and keep checking for the rates to go down. if they do, you can call them and get the lower rate.

You might want to check out The Signature at MGM. They have 1 bedroom suites and 2 bedrooms suites. The 1 bedroom suites have a queen sofa bed, a king bed, two bathrooms, kitchenette and balcony. That would be enough for your needs, but if you still want more space there's the two bedroom suite: same as the 1 bedroom + another king bed, more sitting area, another bathroom and a second kitchenette. However, the 1 bedroom suite meets your criteria, but the views aren't the best and it's not center strip.
