tournaments in vegas

Looking for a schedule of upcoming slot and poker tournaments for the last week in Oct. I found an informative schedule for poker but can not find one for slot. Anyone know where I can look?

Las Vegas Hilton has a Monster Mash Slot Tournament right before Halloween- I think it may be 10/26-10/28. That's all I can tell you- maybe their website has more- haven't looked.

Caligurl.....

While virtually every poker room has daily/weekly tournaments open to anyone who shows up on time with the buy-in amount,

The majority of slot tournies are staged for members of the casino's slot club and by invitation only....It is a way to get them down to Vegas more often and presented as a reward for their play. They will give you free room, a special dinner, some "door" prizes and the tournament action. Some have pay-outs totaling upwards of $25,000.

While there are more and more open BJ tournaments emerging all the time nowadays (they also used to be by invitation only), I haven't seen too many open slot tournament offerings.

The Casino Royale used to have a free one every day several years ago, as did Harrah's, but I'm not sure now, and have not seen them advertised in those casinos like they used to.

Make sure to sign up for some player's cards during your stay, play the slots awhile, and you will undoubtedly be invited to a tournament in the future.

I'll say it again - have you checked LVA?

the website has all the tournaments listed, you can acces this info w/o being a paid memebr, although i would encourage you to join, a value at $37. you will find the slot tournaments that are not invitation only.

But c'mon Bridge.....

Would you REALLY recommend someone enter a tournament at the joints listed ?

Obviously, those tournaments at the Western and Wild Wild West are a "must do" for any Vegas visitor, if just for the culture shock. But the rest are at such high-class places like El Cortez, Strat, Sahara, and the ultra-luxury Main Street Station.

You'd have to be awfully hard up for slot tourney action to go to any of those listed on the LVA site.
