How much money to bring to Vegas?

I am going to Vegas Aug 29-Sept 1 for a girls trip

Hotel is already paid for (Bellagio)

I planned on brining $4,000 to spend as I please in Vegas, but keep in mind I don't gamble and if I do it will be very little.

Then, my best friend (who lives in LA and goes to Vegas often) told me I need no more than $200/day...equaling only $800.

We plan on going to the pools, clubs, dining...mostly partying.

Thanks in advance.

For a 4 day trip for a minimal gambler I'd have also suggested $200 per day for dining, drinks, tips and other incidental expenses.

The most expensive cost you could face is the clubs but at my age I've no experience of them - hopefully somebody who knows will be along shortly.

Id double that. I'd take at least $400 a day if your partying. That's still a fraction of your original figure.

I am just concerned because I live in Omaha, NE where cost of drinks, clubs, food, etc. are so much lower than Vegas.

I feel like meals, drinks, admission to clubs will add up fast!

I also live in an area were everything is alot cheaper than Vegas. Believe me it does add up when your partying, average cocktail is $15 and don't know bout you but I'll drink more than 10 throughout the day plus food nightclubs. Just take what your comfortable with, if you don't spend it all then bring it home. Rather that then run out of cash in Vegas . Please don't take $200 a date it will not be enough. Obviously this is j ist my opinion. Hope you have a great time. :-)

I would be wary of taking $4k in cash - take half and just hit the ATM if you run short.

They will...but NOT that fast! Personally, I'd take only half of that ($2000) and then hit the back machine if needed.

Have FUN!!

Generally the more you are willing/able to spend the better time you'll have but I agree that you can have a pretty good time with half of your original budget.

Omahalady there is a key to receiving free comps and free rooms in Las Vegas even if you don't gamble

The first and most important tip is charge everything to your room even if you have the available cash , it counts toward money played and it gets put in the M Life computer and it helps you with future offers

Also make sure you get a M Life card

And last but not least clubs are very expensive especially XS and Hakkasan , you can easily spend over $1,000 minimum in one of these clubs plus if you eat at any top steak house or restaurant you can spend $100-$200 per person and don't even forget about shopping / miracle mile shops/ fashion show mall etc.

You can EASILY do $200 per day and have a great time but you would need to do a bit of planning ahead. I take $400 a day average and usually dont spend it all, and i manage to go pretty hard, pool parties, clubs etc. I also gamble a bit but not too much. My trick is to never buy drinks from casino bars, i either get them free from gambling or buy from convenience stores. I eat pretty cheaply too apart from one night where i will go to a nice restaraunt.

If i were you i'd take about $1200-$1500, and you can always take money out if you need.
