new rules for Fremont street re kids?

I just read a review of the Golden Nugget and the op said they were there for the first Friday and there were new rules that no children on Fremont under the age of 21. Because this was a review there was not where to ask specific questions. I was wondering if there is a time that kids can not be on Fremont (like after 8pm) and if it is for weekends only (Friday and Sat. night). This is information that anyone who is considering taking a family vacation with kids and want to stay on Fremont street should be aware of. Anyone on this form know what the op was referring to and what the specific rules are?

Could they be referring to the weekend curfew, Fri and Sat nights only when after 9 pm no one under 18 is allowed on Fremont UNLESS they are accompanied by an adult- so this is really directed at roving bunches of unsupervised teens, not kids who are always allowed in the company of their adult parents. The curfew is from 9 pm- 5 am on Friday and Saturday nights only last I knew. and I think has been in effect on Fremont since sometime in 2013.

During all the media reports about the new rules a month or so ago, I do remember first Fridays being 21 and over only from 6pm? Or so onward till morning. Fremont also has restricted access at this time too with wrist bands required.

First Fridays.....First Friday of every month is 21 and over after 6pm

Throughout the summer, first Fridays of the month are considered special events at Fremont Street Experience.

These first Friday of the month dates have special rules, and guests younger than 21 aren’t permitted on the Fremont Street Experience mall beginning at 6:00 p.m. Access restrictions typically end at 4:00 a.m.

On first Fridays of the month, special access gates are set up along Fremont Street Experience, and those wishing to enter need to present a valid I.D. Once an I.D. checks out, a wristband is issued, and guests are good to enter one of the world’s biggest block parties. Casino customers also get wristbands as they exit casinos onto the Fremont Street Experience mall.

Here’s a map of the access points on first Fridays of the month.

Ah , we are never there then so I did not know- but I would assume First Friday is an adult activity ..and that these rule are only for that one night a month and the other curfew still applies on the other Fridays and Saturdays.
