SLS announces blackjack rules for August 23rd opening

Just seen on SLS website there blackjack rules for there grand opening I hope thus helps blackjack players

*Six deck 3:2 ( main floor)

Hit soft 17

Stand soft 17 (high limit)

Surrender allowed

Split aces up to 4 hands

Double down and split after any 2 cards

* Double deck 3:2 ( no surrender)

Hit soft 17

Split aces up to 2 hands

Double down and split after any 2 aces

Double down after splitting

*Single deck 6:5 ( no surrender)

Hit soft 17

Split aces up to 2 hands

Double down and split aces after any 2 cards

/ these blackjack rules seem pretty favorable to the serious player and also casual except of course they have 6:5 / I was hoping they would follow el Cortez and set a standard for 3:2 single deck, I hope this helps ,cheers

I dont know why theyre opening at midnight on the 23rd.

Ild like to attend but I wouldnt be too fond of walking that bit between encore and SLS at 12am / 1am in the morning.

TG, SLS is the new property opening where Sahara was previously.

General, just take a cab if you'd rather not walk. In August, I'd do that rather than walk that distance regardless of how I felt about the neighborhood.

It is a haul similar to the stratosphere but at least it's not as far as M resort or Red Rock

Place bets they did not post there minimum but I heard on opening night because they expect so many people because of invited guests media etc. it may be like you said $15 and than Labor Day is following week so they expect brisk buisness so I think the minimums will stay high until the excitement if the new hotel wears off and than it may go down to $10

Thanks! There had been some confusion over whether or not double after splitting would be allowed, this clears that up a little. The casino boss in an interview published two weeks ago (sorry I forget the source) said that while there may be a few $5 games at slower times...$10 games would be plentiful. I'm looking forward to playing at SLS! If they do indeed allow DAS, I would consider staying there.

"dont know why theyre opening at midnight on the 23rd."

Pretty much every casino has opened at midnight. As soon as their license says they can open, they do. Pretty straightforward really.

Darrenfromindy if you look on there web site and check out there rooms and suites these rooms look sick , simply stunning in a good way

It seems there interior design team went with a white hip modern look that I have only seen in lavish hotels like Dubai or Rome

These rooms range from 450sq feet to 1,200sq feet and they are gorgeous suites

I am very interested in getting feedback about there cafe , buffet and restaurants and rooms from people visiting this casino when it opens in a few weeks

I hope there buffet sets a standard on the south strip because after Wynn the buffets have been noticeably terrible I.E. Old Sahara , riveria, circus circus , statasphere , old frontier , old stardust , I have not tasted any good buffets past Wynn ever in my 100+ visits to vegas
