Vegas Trip - Restaurants near MGM Grand Sep 14

Hi all

Arriving in Vegas after a longggg flight from UK on 6th Sep and staying at MGM Grand. Will be tired so would prefer not to venture too far that evening, therefore can anybody advise some decent 'medium' priced restaurants and/or buffets either in or close to MGM Grand for our first evening. Will be 3 adults.

Happy to go anywhere for the rest of our 4 days in Vegas so if anybody has any other recommended places to eat for the other days please feel free to add.

Thanks

MGM Grand has a wide range of restaurants, from the food court fast food joints on up to Joel Robuchon. Most, maybe all, have menus on the website so you can get an idea of what's available.

We like Shibuya and Emeril's. Their buffet is average. The only place I'd skip is Rainforest Cafe simply because its a "gimmick" joint and over priced for the quality of the food.

Wolfgang Puck, right on the casino floor, is a great option for dinner or late night bites after a long flight.

I'm sure you know that MGM has more than 2 dozen restaurants in the building. The problem is that I don't know what you consider "medium priced."

To me Wolfgang Pucks would fall in this range. However IMO Emerils or Shibuya would be better choices.

It might help with replies if you include an appx price range.

Philly we've not had a bad meal there (the Rainforest), you may call it a "gimmick" as others for example feel the same about the Cheesecake Factory at Caesars, we love the place the food, the prices, the atmosphere. However the Rainforest is geared towards the young crowd, I've seen more adults in the place, than I've seen young kids, we've dined there numerous times, never a bad meal and the prices are decent for a place like that. Of course this is just my opinion lol.

Wolfgang is always my "medium" priced restaurant. Last 3 trips to Vegas, I have stayed in MGM., Wolfgang Bar and Grill is right off the casino floor, on your way to the elevator. Very convenient.

Thanks for all your replies do far. By medium priced was thinking between $20 - $25 for a main course.
