Imperial Palace, sahara or stratosphere

I am trying to book 1 room for march 14th.

unfortunatly there is nothing in between either hotels are $50-60 or above 180

so the under $100 choices for me on the strip is Imperial Palace, sahara or stratosphere

first time in vegas, so would liek to stay on the strip.

suggestions ?

I have never stayed at any of them but if it is location you are after, definitely go with IP. You are going to be taking a lot of cab rides or buses if you stay at either of the other 2. Also, if this is your first time in Vegas, you will want to be smack dab in the middle of the strip if possible, and that is where the IP is.

I have to agree with the previous poster. The Imperial Palace would be the best of those 3 for location and that is it. I have stayed there, however it has been 10 years. Have never stayed at the other two just visited.

I would say Imperial Palace

I like the employees there. waitresses and bartenders are really friendly.

It has a great location (the others don't)

The rooms are clean (but then again, all the hotels have clean rooms)

The only problem is the smell and the ventilation in the casino.

if you are a smoker, it won't bother you much

If it does, then don't play in the casino, and walk to another casino.

You can not walk to another casino from the other two chices you have. they are way up in North of the Strip

Hi there, I also agree that the Imperial Palace is the best bet. You really can't beat the location. We just stayed for a week there in August (3rd time) and were very happy. If you can, ask for a "deluxe room". They have recently been renovated with new carpet, bedding, curtains, etc.

I agree on IP, but are you really only staying one night? If so, you may have an issue where you have to check in, or have them hold your luggage till check in, and then hold your luggage again when you check out but before you leave for home again.

Thanks, I think I'll book IP. Staying 2 nights, then heading to grand canyon for 2 nights, and will come back and spend 1 night at excalibur.

Twinkle - you might want to rethink your plans. Since March 14th is a Wednesday, if you could make your plans to not return to Vegas on a weekend it might be more economical.

Why not stay in Vegas Sunday thru Wednesday, then Grand Canyon for the other 2 nights??

I check rates for March 14th, Excalibur $121, Flamingo and Harrahs $152 and Luxor $159.

You haven't said whether you're traveling alone, or with a significant other - but IP, Sahara and Strat aren't the loveliest places to stay.

Just my opinion.
