Wayne Newton Holiday Show

Has anyone been to the Wayne Newton Holiday Show? We're traveling to Vegas for the 1st time Dec. 17-23 just wondering if the show is worth seeing.

Also, there are two types of seating available general seating ($90) and "golden circle" for about $120. Is it worth it to pay the extra $30?

Thanks

Not worth the money to see a tired ,old, entertainer.

He was good in the old days. The voice is gone.

we will be in vegas dec 17-20...we are going to see the show...i think it will be fun and most people i have talked to say his back-up singers are great and he is still a showman. the gold circle seats are up close and includes you meeting wayne and having a photo made with him after the show..just a matter of expectation i think.

The show is in the Clint Holmes Theater, which is not that big to start with. So any seat gives you a good view, so you have to decide if the $30 is worth the picture and meeting.

Saw him a couple of years ago. Voice was gone, but at least I'm glad to have seen him once. A friend of ours went to see him at Chuckchansi, an Indian Casino in California. I warned him about his voice. My friend walked out of the show he was so disappointed.

I went last year and my husband finally agreed to go with me. We loved it. Maybe he cannot hit that high note anymore but he is a great entertainer. We had the cheaper seats but we were sitting right behind his wife and family!

I thought the show was great and now I can say I got to see the king of Vegas Entertaniment! It will put you in the Xmas spirit!

So.... I am guessing this isn't a show you can get a discount ticket for, right?

thanks for all the info everyone. even if his voice isn't what it used to be it might still be neat to see him while he still is performing.

I have taken girl friends and two wives to see Wayne Newton about

forty times since 1965. This is back when he was on stage with his brother.

He was one of the best of his time and last of the dying breed of headliners that made these show rooms famous over the years.

Wayne started losing his voice about ten years ago because as we all do he is getting old.

For someone who has never seen him I think that is a good reason to go to his show!

We use to go see him at Circle Star Theater in San Carlos Ca then follow his show up to Reno/Tahoe for years.

Same with Englebert and Tom Jones. Many people went to see Elvis even though he was the greatest. At the end he had nothing left but people went to see him just to say they saw Elvis!

Years ago we went to Circle Star to see Frank Sinatra for same reason and that was to say we had seen him and enjoy a famous star ending there time!

Yes, I just returned this weekend from the show. All I can say is it was absolutely magnificent!!! i was spellbound from the moment he came on stage until it was (sadly) over...he is the most fantasic performer I've EVER seen. He has so many treats in his show..you cannot miss it! and pay the extra bucks to meet him backstage for a photo. It will be the THRILL of your life!!

Enjoy!!
