carrying a bag on strip

Has anyone had any experience with carrying a bag or a purse on the strip? Did it make you nervous or was it not a problem? thanks

I've never had a problem, but I keep my bag or purse closer and more secure when walking the strip. I'm not nervous about it, but just more aware out there. It just never hurts to be extra careful.

I have a couple of small bags with long straps that I bought specifically for Vegas & general casino-wear. I wear the strap one shoulder and across my body with the bag in the front so I can keep a close eye on it. I don't feel nervous, but I make a point of feeling in control and aware of it at all times. I carry more stylish purses for special evenings out and keep them close at all times too.

I always bring a purse with no problems. I bring a bigger one since i seem to always end up carrying extra things for husband.

I just make sure it's close to me at all times and zipped. Do not lay it down on the floor when playing the machines.

I have the bags with long straps as bigvegasfan mentions. I love my wallets on a long strap. I play Black jack and I appreciate that some places have a "hanger" to hook your bag to. If no hanger I use the drink holder, slide the strap over the cup holder works perfectly!

I bring a large purse on the plane but once I get to Vegas I switch to a small purse with the long strap that I wear like the other posters said- across my body. I carry only what I need for the time I leave the hotel until I return to the hotel. I only bring one credit card, for example- the spare one is in the safe at the hotel(just in case). I never had a problem but use common sense- especially at crowded strip attractions- Bellagio fountains and conservatory, Siren show, etc.

I bring my normal purse to carry along with a smaller wristlet. If I am out for the evening or just roaming the casino, I will use the wristlet. As in any big city or touristy area, you must keep the purse close to you and on your lap when gambling. Never put your purse on the floor, on the back of your chair, or next to the slot machine.

Just because I am parnoid about getting a little buzz or just plain absent minded about leaving it somewhere, I NEVER carry a purse when in Vegas. I just carry my cash, ID, and lip gloss in pockets and I have everything I need. My husband has his wallet with the credit cards when we shop. I just don't like having to carry anything around.

Before going to Vegas the first time, I was super concerned with the safety of walking around on the strip but I feel very safe walking alone as well as with others. That doesn't mean that I don't stay aware of others and my surroundings, which I do, but there is always such a presence of security around from the casino openings, it doesn't seem like a smart place for someone to try something.

I love my Belly Bags! Some call them Fanny packs. I have many different colors! This way I can have a drink in one hand and play the slots with the other!

I go to Vegas twice a year and walk the stip both day and night. I have never had a problem with my purse. I carry it close to me and make sure that it is zipped.

I use a normal sized purse most of the time, strapped on over chest as stated. When I don't want to use a purse, I wear a denim jacket that has four pockets and I use all of them.

I have of course heard second hand stories of guys on bikes who ride by and cut your strap with a strait edge razor, have not seen any purse snatchings myself in 3 trips this year and one previously, you just have to of course stay vigilant and be always aware of what is going on around you.
