Best place to see NFL playoffs

Am driving up Sat a.m. but my room at Atlantis may not be ready until mid-afternoon. First playoff game (Niners!) starts at 1:30. Where is a good place to watch the game? By good, I'm more concerned about a decent sized screen and good resolution than fast bar service or food. I know most will say sportsbooks but those seats will most likely be full by the time I roll into town. Suggestions?

I'm going to toss out the Peppermill out there for you. I've enjoyed games in their book and found service great.

I would remain at Atlantis. Agree the book will be full, but with Atlantis' large circular room, you will probably be able to get a decent seat or view. The bar adjacent will give you viewing as well. Not sure if you are looking for food when you arrive- TVs in the Manhattan Deli will be on the game. All of these places are adjacent in the rear of the casino, right off the self park area next to casino.

Also next to this area is the poker room- with ample monitors.

I'm thinking the Sky Terrace sushi bar will have the game too.

We often arrive early at Atlantis- check our bags with the bellman and enjoy the casino sometimes hours before check-in.

Great Basin Brewing Co. is about a mile south of the Atlantis on South Virginia, which happens to be a 49er’s bars so you’d be in good company. They have a hi-def. TV behind the bar where you should be able to get a seat as long you get there a little before the game starts. There are also TVs throughout the restaurant.

A variety of Sparky’s Sports Bar & Grills and Bully’s Sports Bar and Grills are located throughout Reno. They will have the game on more TVs, as well as larger ones.

For a list of sports bars in the Reno area, go to visitrenotahoe.com/reno-tahoe/…sports-bars

Just in case you do decide to watch the game at a sports book, visit visitrenotahoe.com/reno-tahoe/… where you will find a full list.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'd arrive earlier on Sat but have a previous appt. in the a.m. so won't be able to hit the road until later, which results in a Reno arrival time of about 1 p.m. - that gives me a half hour to find somewhere to settle in. Go Niners!
