LBI - September 26th - October 2nd....visiting from Ireland.

Hello there

Any tips for places to go or things to do for the above dates. Visiting a relatives beach house on LBI for nearly a week, travelling from Ireland. What will the weather be like? Will anywhere be open then? Can you recommend some good restaurants? Is it expensive to eat out? Is there Outlet Shopping nearby?!

Thank you!

The weather is generally very good that week. Comfortable, but not hot. Go to www.weatherunderground.com for historical weather conditions. The zip code for LBI is 08008. Most attractions wil still be open and the weekend of Sep 29, 30 is actually one of the popular weekends in Beach Haven. There is a large merchants mart and Chowderfest that weekend. (merchant mart Sat/Chowderfest Sun) see www.chowderfest.com. The Surflight Theater will be playing "They're Playing Our Song" visit www.surflight.org. It is not known as a an outlet destination. There are many shops and boutiques on Long Beach Island, and the dining ranges from hot dog joints, seafood restaurants to fine dining. Do you know where on Long beach Island the house you are staying at is located?

Also visit www.lbi.net for more island specific information. There is also a forum there as well. Have fun, post again with any more questions.
