Path train on weekends

Does the path train run on weekend from Jersey City into the the city?

Is it on a limited schedule in the evenings?

It runs 24/7, but after 11pm Friday, it runs on a somewhat limited service. To get from Jersey City to NYC, most trains will first make a stop in Hoboken before continuing to NYC.

Hi. I'm a bit confused about the PATH weekend schedule too. I plan to stay at the Courtyard Jersey City Newport which is right next to the PATH station. How would I get from the Newport Station into NYC during the weekend? Would it be better to stay at a different hotel for ease of travel into the city (traveling with 2 kids)? Thanks!

Hi

On the weekends, the only line that runs into NYC is the line that has the combined blue/yellow stripes as seen on this map: http://www.panynj.gov/path/maps.html

From the Courtyard, you would take that line north to Hoboken, and then continue on to NYC (making stops at Christopher St, 9th/14th/23rd/33rd).

If you needed to get to the World Trade Center, you would have to take the train to Christopher street and thenwalk or take a taxi

Aside from the Courtyard, the only easier option for getting into NYC would be to stay at the W in Hoboken (from there, it's a 5 min walk to the Hoboken PATH station, and then take the PATH into NYC).

Everyone: there is no service from Exchange Place to lower Manhattan, but there is a new ferry to NYC World Trade Center dock (same price as PATH, $2.50 each way) from the ferry dock a few blocks south of the Exchange Place terminal----just walk along the river: you'll see it. Ferries go every 15 minutes until evening. It was an experiment for six weeks and has now been continued for the rest of the year. It is an inexpensive and beautiful short trip---much nicer than the PATH, and all the hotels along the river on the Jersey City side are very close by.

Do you know the name of this ferry service so I can look at their schedules? Travelling into town for July 3rd and 4th and staying at Hyatt. Biggest concern is for the 4th. Thank you
