Edison house - where to stay?

The address is 211 Main Street, West Orange, NJ 07052. The hotels listed nearby are Newark. Then I read a ton of reviews saying various places aren't safe. So my question is where would be a safe place to stay to visit Edison's house?

I am not sure how you are getting nearby hotels in Newark.

Using Google I found several hotels in West Orange itself.

Sorry I should provide more detail. We are trying to keep costs down too. Newark has some hotels under $150. We might also go into NY city for a day. I also saw some hotels near Giants stadium. I want an area that won't scare my mother, is clean and under $150 a night due my siblings budgets.

Newark has only two hotels. The other hotels near the airport are actually in Elizabeth.

There are a few hotels by the airport in Newark's city limit. (Sheraton, Wyndham,Days Inn, HIlton Airport) and a few others. Westminster in Livingston is nice and closer to West orange than anything sugested. (have atended confrences in there before)

The courtyard in W Orange should be around $150

there is a Best western too that should be around that too

Try priceline there is a west orange "area" and name your own price

you'd probably end up in one of those places or the residence inn
