8th Street Beach

What is the condition of the 8th street beach? Specifically, has it eroded and sand washed away? Sometime years the beach has been small and it has been difficult to find a spot to put your things, especially at high tide. And other years the sand is nice and there is plenty of room. What about this year? Thank you.

The reason that occurs is that about every three years Ocean City has to dredge to replenish the sand on the beaches because the sand erodes. It needs to be done again next year, so you will probably find 8th St beach to be on the narrow side this year. One good thing about that location is that it is next to the 7th St. beach which is the surfer beach and it is posted surfers only in the water so people tend not to sit there but it's a great place to find a spot less crowded on the beach. You can watch the surfers all day which is entertaining and it's a short walk to 8th Street beach if you want to go in the water. Have a great time!
