Cape Cod, Cape May, Mystic or Brigantine??

Oh my! Many nice places to choose from. My two best friends and I are planning a week oceanside. Can't decide between the locations of: Provincetown, Brigantine, NJ; Bristol, RI; Cape May; Dennis; and near Mystic, CT.

What we like - to be very near the ocean and most of these are and we also like quaint little shops to browse, places to walk to, just a laid back experience. Casinos are a plus - not necessary, but definitely would be fun.

Can anyone tell me pros and cons of these places? We are stumped!

Thank you -

The big plus on jersey is the amount of things to do, the really big con in my mind is the traffic. Mystic you have the casinos really close a lot of activities if it does rain, really close to stonington borough which is a beautiful village, and also a quick hi speed ferry ride to block island which has many shops and restaurants, hiking trails and bike scooter or kayak rentals. Bristol I'm not familiar with but has the proximity to Newport, woods hole, ma and providence which I think might have the best concentration of affordable, quality restaurants in New England. Hope this helps

Provincetown has the shops, quaint streets and restaurants to walk to. Cape May ( which I've been to once) also had lots of things to see and do while walking around, but IMHO it wasn't as quaint; more "boardwalk" atmosphere. I don't know Bristol or Brigantine. If you're into casinos, then you must have Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun in mind. Mystic is OK, but the Aquarium and the Seaport are really expensive for admissions.
