If you can get to Manhattan from JFK - You can take a commuuter train from Penn Station to Morristown - which is next to the Hyatt. It'll take some time but so would a taxi. The train is way cheaper ... Hyatt may have transportation from JFK to Manhattan. Manhattan to Whippany is easy.

I would contact the hotel directly as they should be able to provide a list of private shuttle companies that provide local transport to area hotels to/from the three area airports.

These shuttles are cheaper than a taxi, but can make a few stops along the way--so it may take a bit longer.

I have used this local company (Terry's Taxi) in the past and their rates are competitive with other limo/taxi services.

You have been given poor advice thus far.

First Hungryalicia is assuming you are staying at the Morristown Hyatt house, which is near the Morristown train station. However if as your post indicates you are at the Parsippany/Whippany Hyatt house you are miles away. In fact, from the Hotels website it apears the Hotel is not near any public transportation.

Dwrrn's reccommendation of a shuttle is absurd. There will be no shuittle service from Whippanny to JFK-a distanxce of 53 miles.

The reccomendation of Terrys taxi is better, especially since it appears from their website they serve JFk, but you will be better off using them to go from Whippany to JFK. Assuming you will not book a car service until you arrive, Terrys would likely take too long to get to JFK to pick you up.(they list their rate from Parsippany to JFK as "from $135")

No New York taxi is required to take you to Whippany and there is no set fee so you would have to negotiate a price.

You would be better off calling a car service such as Dial 7 or Allstate when you land and have them take you to Whippany for a set price you might want to get a rate quote from their websites to have some idea of the cost.

A still better option would be to rent a car. Otherwise you will be stuck at the hotel, unless you have rides lined up

You could probably get a more accurate taxi fare from JFK to Niagra Falls than you can from JFK to Whippany. Have you looked at changing your flight to Newark?

Brookquarry has give you some good advice. He is absolutely right about the fact that a NYC taxi is not obligated to take you to Whippany and more to the point, won't even know how to get there!!!!!!

And I also agree that you'll do better with a car service such as:

www.dial7.com

www.carmellimo.com

https://www.allstatelimo.com/

The way the work is that they have cars out all the time at the airports and you call them and they dispatch one to pick you up. The difference between them and a taxi is that you just walk out to the taxi area and get in any taxi whereas for the car service you must call first

The two Hyatts are about 3.5 miles apart. A taxi from Morristown Train Station to Whippany is probably less than $20.

The best thing is to reserve a car from one of NJ companies as they are better familiar with NJ roads and traffic.

Make sure they provide a total price, with tolls included. Tip is generally 15 to 20% of the base.

I'd estimate you shouldn't spend more than $180-190 if you fit a sedan car .
