No RV park on the beach...for now. Do you agree?

The city has decided to hold off, for now, the proposed RV park on the beach between Taylor and Hand Avenues but are looking for new locations. The whole idea for the park was to pay for beach upkeep without instituting beach-tag fees. They survived all these years without beach fees. Why now? Point Pleasant Beach charges almost $10 for a daily beach tag! Is this the way Wildwood is going?

How do OC, Md and lots of other East Coast beaches manage beach upkeep without charging beach tag fees? It would seem that tourists would bring in enough revenue without charging beach use fees. Our family generally steers clear of any beaches where we have to pay. IMO, why pay to use a beach when I can go to one as nice or nicer for free?
