Need Family Hotel Ideas for 1 or 2 nights in Wildwood area

Hello! Just looking for a stop by trip in Wildwood for 1 night, maybe 2 nights. We have an 11 year old daughter and would love to just do the beach and the boardwalk and waterpark rides. What hotel(s) would you recommend staying at that is affordable and is close to the things that we want to do. Thanks in advance for your help!

Define affordable.

Nothing is all that far from anything else in Wildwood. Read the reviews.

The Fleur de Lis is the nicest / cleanest hotel I have ever been in anywhere on the Jersey shore.

For the past few years & again this June we will stay at the Olympic beach motel for the Elks convention. It's old, has real keys but it also has a big pool, a nice deck, is on the ocean & doesn't smell like a Jersey shore motel. It comes with a full sized refridgerator, a stove top & a microwave.. There are BBQs on the property & a breakfast place. There's a bedroom with a door & 2 beds. The sofa pills out to a couch.

For the past couple years my wife has gone for a couple days to Wildwood with a girlfriend of hers, her girlfriends mentally challenged sister and the"little sister' her girlfriend is mentoring as part of a 'Big Sisters" program.

Because of limited budget, they have stayed at the Sunflower which is an older, but very clean motel only a couple blocks from the Boardwalk. The owners are reportedly very accomadating. The reviews on this site bear out her opinion.

Just understand that if you are coming in July or August nothing close to the Boardwalk will be inexpensive.

not sure if you will find a place for 1 or 2 nights to make reservations, most want 3 nights. if going thru the week, will be cheaper than the weekend. we stay at the blue palms/boardwalk bungalow. it is located right across the street from the boardwalk and at the corner where the spash zone water park is. these are 2 different motels beside each other but the office takes care of both properties which is located at the blue palms. the palms offers various style rooms and the bungalow has standard motel rooms which have been renovated last year. if you call, inquire about the bungalow if interested because they don't always mention them. each has a pool and you can use which ever one u want. since moreys pier owns them, they also offer waterpark/ride passes called stay and play. great deal for a family!!! goto moreyspiers.com look under sleep tab and resorts!!! hope this helps and enjoy your vaca!!!
