Trip report seminyak

Thanks to every one for their input In our girls trip . We ended up staying at royal beach hotel which was lovely . The pool and breakfast were amazing . Would not advise for families with kids as mainly adults there. Had to taxi most places and there were taxi mafia outside the gate who were quoting ridiculous prices.we had treatments at body works , jari menari , chill and spa bali. Restaurants we loved were sarong. Chandi . Merahputih , zucchini and mexicola. Can't wait to head back ASAP

Thanks Dani. How did you get around the taxi issue. We generally don't negotiate with taxi drivers and if they don't put their meters on we get out. Did yours put their meters on or did you have to do something else.

Isn't it possible for the taxi drivers to change the tariff? If so, would it be worth it to barter with them?

Yes we had to bargain . They refused to put the metre on . I think they settled on 25,000 but that was about 8,000 more ! Just annoying . Didn't happen any where other than outside hotel

We recently stayed at the Royal Beach Hotel and we asked the hotel staff to phone for a bluebird taxi each time we needed one. We had no trouble and we only had to wait a short time. The taxi drove right up to the reception area.

Did you have to pay extra on metre for that ?

No, we just asked for a bluebird taxi and it arrived without any extra cost.
