Binoculars

Hello,

We'll be 3 adults staying at Singita Sabi Sand. We've got 2 binoculars would you suggest that we get another so that all of us have our own pair? Thank you!

Hi there!

Great choice of a lodge - you will have a wonderful time.

2 pairs will be fine - You don't generally need binos unless you are a big birder, or there is something very far in the distance. Usually the lodge will take you as close as can be to the animals, generally you are within a few meters. So, if you do see a leopard in a tree, or a beautiful crested barbet bird far away, binos will be great, but you don't need to carry one each :).

Warmest regards

I was advised before we came on safari to get binoculars each and in the end it was a waste of time. I only used them once and the guide got the jeep so near the annimals we didn't really need them. I wish that we had only bought one as two was a waste of money.
