Acra Manor or Blackthorne Resort

I can't find any comments about these two resorts. Has anyone stayed at either one? There is also Crystal Brook I have looked at but really no comments regarding any of these resorts.

I'll be participating in the East Durham feis that takes place at Blackthorne so I would like to stay as close as possible but I'm leary to book at Blackthorne until I get some feedback.

Thank you.

If you go to Acra forums, you will find some comments on Acra Manor. If you go to Roundtop, NY forums, there are a few comments on Crystal Brook. I believe you will also find some reviews on Acra Manor, Crystal Brook and Blackthorne on Yahoo reviews.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. I don't know why I couldn't find it earlier.

We just came back from The Blackthorne and it's a great place to stay. Food is good and plentiful and the surroundings are just lovely. Rooms in the "house" are "Catskill average" but overall a good bet and quite convenient.

I appreciate this posting so much. I haven't booked because of lack of feedback on this resort. Thank you.

The black thorne was completely disgusting, a dump, and revolting. The owner was nasty, crude and vindictive. Speaking to her was ghastly, and her ideas of customer service was hideous. I would never recommend this place even to my worst enemy.
