Where to stay

Planning a one-night trip to Cooperstown to go to the Hall of Fame sometime in August (Sat-Sun) with twin 9 year old sons. Looking for a hotel either in a nearby town or somewhere on the way back to NYC.

Preferably one with a pool and one that has free breakfast with make your own waffles.

Also - will we be able to see a game at Abner Doubleday Park?

For games at Doubleday, there are very few scheduled games. Its more or less open to the public. You may find a game going on..

Get on your favourite travel site or Cooperstown Chamber of commerce site and look for places out by the lake. Just a hop to the museum and most have pools or you can swim in the beautiful lake. Rent a boat and take the kids out on the lake. It's wonderfully peaceful there.
