There's not many motels along the beach in east hampton, so you're better bet (if that's what you're looking for) is either Montauk or Sag Harbor.

as in what exactly? The East Hampton Point is very nice and the restaurant is great.

As far as asking if there are any good hotel... well keep in mind that we don't have hotels out here. We have motels. They're quite different than the average hotel. And no we don't have many of those. Sorry.

We stayed at the 1770 House in 2005 and loved it. The room we had was small but comfortable. It was reasonable at the time for East Hampton. We had no complaints. Their breakfast is delicious. The inn is relaxing. The location is great. There is free parking out back from the inn that is safe parking. No elevator so pack light as you carry your bags up stairs. You won't be disappointed.

Go to Wolffer Estate (Sagaponack) and Channing Daughters (Bridgehampton) for great wines! I'd skip Duck Walk, as the quality of the wine (IMHO) does not match up to Wolffer & CD.

Enjoy!
