A couple of quick questions !

Can anyone tell me what the withdrawal limit is on the ATM machines ?

Are there still big queues at the cash machine on the strip ?

How much is a taxi from Kololi to Kotu ?

Thanks in anticipation

regards

Dave

Hi Dave

I think the limit is 2000 Ds at one time although you can put your card in again.

There were no queues in December that i could see... mabye a couple of peeps waiting.

A bush taxi is 5ds , a five five ( shared yellow cab ) is 5ds and a taxi all by yourself is around 50ds to 100 ds depending on your haggling skills !

Usually 2,000 Dalasi a time, More are going to 4,000 a time, Standard Chartered does it.

Depends on times and Days, get your Money before Weekend, when they can run out.

About 5D to 25D to Kotu.

Thanks both

2000 dalasi works out at only £44. It's expensive when you pay a flat rate for each withdrawal as well as commission charges.

The taxi rate you quote is staggeringly cheap ! I had been led to believe, having read other postings, that it was 300 dalasai each way which I thought was too expensive to make it worth travelling to the Senegambia strip to eat out.cheers Dave

I did say 4,000 Dalasi a time in Lot's of Places, perhaps I said it wrong.

The Tourist (Green) Taxis would be 250D Plus, than Yellow one's.

Hence the Reason we tell People to use Yellow..!!

I would think even from Kombo to strip return should only be 150d return in green taxi if you dont look like a cabbage :)

Hi,

I've read that Kololi is much more lively than Koto but looking on a map they don't look far apart. I'm thinking of staying at the Kombo Beach Hotel but don't want to rely on taxis to be able to eat out at night. Would we better off at Senegambia?

Thanks,

Nicola
