May and September are my favorite months at the lake!

The Great Escape opens May 9th, and the Magic Forest opens Memorial Day weekend. The village should be hopping Memorial Day weekend as well. Rates are usually pre-season in May (except for the holiday weekend), and the water is still quite cold for swimming. It is a great time for boating, though. HTH.

There is a lot do in and around Lake George in late May. Kelly is correct about everything, the only thing I would add is the Great Escape is basically only open weekends during May. As it gets closer to Memorial Day there are some Fridays and Mondays. But their full schedule does not kick in until June
