A trip to Murchison Falls

How far is it from jinja to the Murchison falls? Is this a trip you could do in the weekend?

It is a good days drive to Murchison. Possible but a bit rushed. You would need two nights there to make it worthwhile.

Thank you. We have the option of this trip or the Gorillas. Id like to do both but will wait until we get there to finalize our trip

Good idea but keep in mind gorilla permits have to be booked in advance.

How long are you in the country for? It is possible to go north from Jinja, ie, avoiding the drive back to Kampala and then out again, but you need a good driver with a 4x4, especially as it's raining again.

When will you be in Uganda?

Are you looking for budget or higher-end at MFNP? One option if you need to consider it, is Red Chilli, which is definitely good value for money but no pool - not far from the ferry crossing on the south bank.

If you are going to Jinja on a project, suggest you ask your local contacts to make appropriate bookings for you.
