Metro North train to NYC

I would like to leave my car for about 4 days in one of the towns where the metro north stops in order to take the metro into NYC. Is there any place that is safe near a train station ?

TCODY.....most all stations have parking with (monthly/yearly) permits, and any meters would be the max 8 hours. Perhaps leave your car where you are staying and take a taxi to the station. Good luckl!

Meters are not a max of 8 hours. LAZ parking runs the metro north parking facilities. You can park at the meters for many days. http://www.rrparking.com/faqs www.rrparking.com/page/meter_instructions

Whether it will be easy or nearly impossible to find an empty meter at particular stations will depend on when you are arriving at the station. Weekends will be easy. Weekdays during normal commuting hours will be tough.

How about leaving the car at the Poohkeepsie train station during the day about 3:30 pm on Thursday ?

Sure, why not? I think we already addressed this question earlier.
