Canadian or US Falls?

Hi all, we are taking a road trip with friends. I am the only one who has seen the falls(saw the Canadian side) Which side would you suggest going to? Thanks.

I wish I could say the US side is the best but sadly the best view is from the Canadian side.

I've been there several times....and there's no comparison....sorry. The Canadian side wins out in every way.

We just returned from our first visit to Niagara Falls last month. We stayed on the Canadian side. The view is definitely better from that side and there is more to do, but, I really feel that you need to see both sides. The park on the US side is beautiful, as is the view of the river as it approaches the falls. As they are only a bridge (oh, and a country, too!) apart, why not do both? If you are driving, you don't need a passport, only a raised seal birth certificate.

I always go to the Canadian side. It is 100% nicer and you can also deive over to Niagra on the Lake a lovely town.

Hi Zachie. I had the same question when I went last year and I can honestly say the Canadian side is the best experience. They have a great atmosphere, great views, and offer all the tours of Niagara. If I had a car I would park on the New York side as I would imagine it is a lot lot easier to get parking there and then walk across the bridge to the Canadian side. It isn't far and it is a nice walk.(and you get a stamp on your passport!) Enjoy x

The Canadian side has great views as well as hotels that over look the falls.

Hi , We are planning a trip to Niagara in Oct. We are having the same problem on deciding what side to stay on and where to stay. The Marriot looks nice but so does the Embassy. The Seneca Casino looks really nice too. Help Please!

The Marriott in my opinion is the best hotel in Niagara falls. Most if not all their rooms over the falls. The location is excellent too it's a short walk to the Fallsview casino. The Seneca casino is nice too not as large as the Canadian casinos and you can still smoke there where the canadian casinos are smoke free.

I forgot to add the Embassy Suites is a great family hotel and most of their rooms over look the falls as well.
