walking across rainbow bridge an option?

i see that it is possible to get the NFTA bus from Buffalo airport to the US side of Rainbow Bridge for around $3.00 How easy/how far is it to walk across the bridge to the Canadian side? We will only have a small carry on size wheely bag each - taxi's etc from the airport direct to the canadian side seem pretty expensive so am wondering if walking across is an option. from the other side we would be heading to the sheraton falls hotel which on a map doesnt look to far - is it worth the additional hassle/time to save around $100? grateful for any advice.

It is absolutely do-able. The #210 bus will take you from the airport to Niagara Falls, NY. Get off at Rainbow Blvd., and from there it's less than 1 km across the Rainbow Bridge to the Canadian side. If it is Sheraton on the Falls where you are staying, it is right at the bridge/customs exit, so total walk of 1km.

Definitely walk it! It's a great view and much less of a hassle than driving, and as you can see, you'll save a lot of $$.

Hi vegemitekid;

On the Canadian side, for good food and GREAT views, I would suggest The Keg Steakhouse on the 9th floor of the Embassy Suites Hotel, overlooking the Falls.

It is a short enough walk for kids to manage?

Hi tracey11474;

Fallsdude commented above that the walk across the bridge is under 1 km. 1 kilometre is a bit more than half a mile.

Best Regards
