maid of the mist

we are heading to NF in july and plan to do a few of the attractions including Maid of the Mist.

Does the boat rock around a lot? I have cruised with no problem as long as i take meclizine which i would during this boat ride as well. I am having balance problems right now so a little nervous about getting on a boat that rocks too much.

The boats are very heavy and although they bob a little, I wouldn't say you'd need to worry about getting seasick. The ride is very short. You can sit if you're worried about your balance. As Dave already wrote -- get ready to get wet -- and think about ways to protect your camera if you plan on taking pics.

Hi lainey2010;

FYI...the boats that depart from the Canadian side are twice as large as their American cousins, 600 passengers vs. 300 passengers.

You'll get a more "solid" ride from the Canadian boats.

Best Regards
