Is Niagara Falls an all day thing or one hour thing?

We are planning a trip to head east this summer and we plan on stopping at the Falls. Should we plan on being there all day or is something you stop at , snap a few pics and then head out?

That's up to you but there are some great choices for other activities such as Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds.

The area north of Niagara Falls, NY has pleasant hiking trails with river views, Fort Niagara and the charming town of Lewiston. You can also experience the Erie Canal firsthand with a fun boat ride in Lockport.

If you have passports and can cross to the Canadian side, you can add at least another couple of days, as there's much more to see and do.

I spent a long weekend there. we stayed on the US side, explored the Canadian side, took a few tours and had a great time.

I would not call the Falls(what I consider one of the wonders of the World), a "snap a few pics and head out" attraction!
