Stone Town hotels

Going to Zanzibar Sept 2009. Can anyone recommend a nice mid price range hotel for 1 night in Stone Town?

Would like a nice location. Your kind help with this would be great.

Tembo House or Dhow Palace.

They're sister hotels. Mid-price range.

No alcohol served as they follow Muslim custom.

Both have swimming pool. Tembo has access to small beach.

Try The Clover Hotel. Was there in 2007. Nice clean family run lodge. Its close to the ferry point and right across the Forodhani gardens which you must see in the evening from great seafood.

Zanzibar is tropical year-round, meaning not only hot, but humid. Most properties have ceiling fans, but do consider air conditioning. Often costs a bit more, but worth a good night's sleep. With a/c, you also don't need mossie nets as these flying things don't like cold or wind.
