No, pink dolphins are around the Iquitos area, not in Tambopata

Hahahaha, PeruIsCool. Maybe 450chris/christian091 can hook them up with that and they won't even need to leave Australia.

Thank you that's what my research indicated but my travel agents suggested itinary has us at Posada Amazonas Lodge which is accessed from Puerto Maldonado not Iquitos ,and I had specified that pink dolphins and wildlife were our top priority for an Amazon experience .Any suggestions for the best pink dolphin encounter?

Take a cruise on the Amazon around the Pacaya Samiria reserve and your chances of seeing pink dolphins will increase.

You can also the Muyuna Lodge and Amazonia Expeditions-Tahuayo Lodge tour programs, both located near the Pacaya Samiria buffer zone.

Tahuayo Lodge you are only likely to see pink dolphin near the lodge during the season when the forest is flooded and they will move up the Tahuayo River. Tahuayo is located near the communal reserve Tamshiyacu Tahuayo, not the Pacaya Samiria.
