Holiday Lights - Daniel Stowe Garden

We saw the lights this week and they are beautiful. The $10.00 admission is a tad steep but I don';t think you'll be disappointed ( there have been some dollar off coupons online - check). Strolling through the gardens at night, it looks like a wonderland. The tram ride is short but the lights along the way are fabulous. You'll enjoy the live music and the fabulous orchid tree in the atrium. It's a good tradition to add to your holiday activities. To round out the evening, you can ride a few miles north and drive through McAdenville ( Christmastown USA) for another dazzling ( and free) light show.

Just wanted to "bump" this info.

To complete this wonderful Christmas light trip to the Stowe Gardens and McAdenville, we must include dinner at one of the "fish camps" in the area.....our favorite is Twin Tops Fish Camp on South New Hope Rd. Nothing fancy, just a traditional southern "fish camp"-- cinder-block walls with taxidermy fish mounted on the walls. Good eatin' with good sweet tea to wash it down!

Twin Tops is a good suggestion! I also like Graham's right across the street - especially on Thursday evenings when they have the 6.95 buffet!
