CLT airport on Thanksgiving Day

So Thanksgiving Day is supposed to be the busiest travel day of the year. We need to catch an international flight at 11:30am. What time should we get to the airport? We are seasoned travellers as this is our home airport but we've always stayed close to home on turkey day and have no idea how busy the airport really is on this holiday. Thanks!

If you do not need to check your luggage & have a printed boarding pass, then 10 am should be OK. If checking luggage, then 09:30.

Thanks Sophie! Yes we have a checked bag and will be getting dropped off so I hope that will be enough time for us to get through.

Thanksgiving Day is a very slow travel day. It's the day before Thanksgiving and the Sunday after Thanksgiving that are bad.

Right. I always travel on Thanksgiving Day to avoid crowds. You should have no problem at all.
