Hi,

Thinking of a different family holiday this year and visiting North Carolina / charlotte.

Is it a good city to visit with lots for families to do!

Thanks

Yes, lot of things for the kids, depending on age, also when you would visit. Still, you might want to rent a car and perhaps visit the mountains (Ashville, or the coast) - summer...

The main tourist areas in NC are the coast and the mountains. Charlotte could be interesting for a day or two, but as a North Carolinian I would never plan to spend all my vacation/holidays there. In contrast, I have spent many a week at the NC beaches or mountains and would gladly do that anytime. I'd suggest you check out Asheville, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Boone/Blowing Rock in the mountains or our lovely beaches. Many NC families rent a cottage at the beach for a week or a cabin in the mountains for a week for a summer vacation.
