Extended stay options?

I may be in Cherokee this summer for an extended stay, i.e., 2 - 3 weeks. What would be the best lodging option? If I do a motel type room, I'd want one with a kitchenette so I wouldn't have to eat out every meal. Are there any places that are recommended and that offer rates by the week, rather than nightly? I've done a preliminary search and only seem to find nightly rates. I'm open to a cottage/cabin option as well, but don't need a large one.

Hello Have you looked at the cabins on VRBO I see some that have weekly rates and monthly rates for that matter. Also you might check the ones in Maggie Valley which is close to Cherokee.I think you would be happier with a cabin rather than a hotel room that way you have the whole place to yourself and can cook at the cabin or grill out and most of them have pool tables and hot tubs and some with beautiful mountain views. They might even be cheaper than a hotel room. You can always email the owners and ask for a extended rate it sure wouldnt hurt to ask.Good luck in your search and enjoy your stay.

How many will be in your group. In the past I have stayed at Wildflower Cottages which are located on Big Cove Road in Cherokee. These are only about 3 or 4 miles from the Casino and right at the edge of town.

The cottages are one room cottages with a kitchen area, sitting area, TV, Bathroom, etc. They are located on the creek with a porch over looking the creek. I know the rate drops as you increase the number of days which you stay. They are nothing fancy but nice and comfrontable. This cottage are for one or two people.

Also you may want to look at the official website for Cherokee www.cherokee-nc.com for more lodging choices. In the past Wildflower has been inline with or less than the motels.
