Can someone tell me about Mingo falls?

Can you take a stroller to this fall? Is it a hard walk to the fall? Thanks

Doesn't sound like a stroller will do the steps.

You will not be able to take a stroller to Mingo Falls. The walk to the walks is less than a quarter mile from the parking area. The walk will consist of about 200 steps to the falls. These are wood timbers used to hold the dirt in place. Once you get to the falls the amount of water will depend on the rainfall from the past day. I have seen it with very little water and with a lot.

This is an easy fall to get to and worth the time. it is located off of Big Cove road about 1/2 mile past the KOA campground. There are 2 other campgrounds at the entrance to the fall.

Another fall in the area is located on 19. This is the road that goes past the Casino to Maggie Valley. This is Soco Falls. It is located on 19 between BEar Meat sotore and the Blue Ridge parkway. There is parking on the east side of the road. This fall is not well marked and the walk is shorter than Mingo falls but is somewhat harder. It has typically more water flow and is worth the walk.

This is no place for a stroller. As mentioned, the steps would be a challenge and parts of the trail above the stairs are over uneven rocks. Best to leave the kid at home or in the car with someone.
