First night dining?

We're staying at the Corolla Light Resort next week. We're travelling from Indiana with kids (yikes!), so by the time we get unpacked and get a week's grocery shopping done, we'll be ready for a hassle-free taste of the Outer Banks. Any one have recommendations for a good place to have our first OBX meal after a tough day of travelling? I was thinking either pizza delivery or maybe some of that famous N.C. vinegary BBQ in a kid friendly place.

Any suggestions?

Since you are in Corolla Light, I will give you two places that are right there, just a little bit north on 12. Corolla BBQ is located in a little white screened in building right behind the Twiddy Rental Office. It's just takeout but it's really good. They even have soda in the little glass bottles and my kids think that's pretty cool. For pizza, go to Corolla Pizza (also takeout only) next the post office and the Winks convenience store just after the Twiddy Office on the left on Route 12.

As I said, both are take-out, but for your first night you may want to consider using them and enjoying your house. Enjoy!
