Swimming in Corolla in June

We are planning aour first trip to Corolla the week of June 5th. Our house will have a pool, but it's not heated. I didn't think about it at first, but now I wonder if the water will be too cool for the kids to swim. Any insight? Also what will the ocean temp average that time of year? Thanks!

First week of June will still be chilly, but not cold. They should be fine.

Ocean very well may be too cold for their liking-around 65°. (here is the link for the closest NOAA station where you can look up temp data http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/station_info.shtml?stn=8651370+Duck,+NC)

Pool-possibly. Will depend on how big, how deep, how much sun it gets, and how the weather has been to "cook" that water.

We will be in Duck that same week, also with an unheated pool...5 kids in our group. We are just crossing our fingers that they'll be able to swim!

We've been going in late May, early June for 8 years now. The first year we didn't get a heated pool. We have every year since. That being said, kids are kids and will probably swim anyway. There's always the hot tub. Have a great time.
