Does the traffic settle down by August 24th?

We are coming in on August 24th to stay in Corolla Light; would love to aim to cross the Wright Bros. bridge around 11:30...but if it's still going to be whackadoodle traffic like it has been in the past (when we stayed in July), we'll get there earlier. We'll have our dog with us and a 1 pm check in, so we don't want to get there at 10 am and sit around for too long.

Any ideas?

TIA,

Sorry to say you won't notice any improvement really going to Corolla. While the renters start cutting back that week, as kids get ready for school, the drop is so small you won't notice any real improvement.

What about in September? We are planning for next year so this plays into our trip planning since we will have kids ranging from 6-17. Patience isn't a virtue for any of them.

September Saturdays have considerably less traffic than in-season Saturdays. The later in September means even less traffic. But get the trip insurance.
