Any local breweries or places to get local beer?

I always like trying the local wares.. is there anywhere in the area, an hour from the island is good, that makes local beer or has a selection of small batch craft brew that I could only get while down in this area of NC?

No breweries. You will need to travel to Wilmington for a local brewery. There are a couple of wineries in that area. Good luck.

I can highly recommend the Milk Stout from the Duck Rabbit Brewery in Farmville, NC which is in Eastern NC.

I know it is available at the Lowes Foods in Cape Carteret.

Harrika's Brew Haus in Swansboro, NC has a selection of over 700+ Beers including a Great NC Section. They also received Top 100 Beer Bars by Draft Magazine. You can enjoy a draft while shopping. A guaranteed MUST SEE! My Favorite place to shop and drink, especially in warm weather months with their backyard and entertainment.
