Venues for Corporate Events.

Looking for a unique and fun venue for a corporate event in June.

I need it to be within 30 minutes of High point.

Any recommendations?

What sort of event is it? A meeting, recreation, dinner, or what? And how many people do you expect?

Approximately 130 people, dinner with or with out an activity. Preferably something tied to the culture or history. 90% male audience.

Okay, don't know your budget, but here are a few possibilities:

--Castle McCulloch in High Point, a mid 19th century building with lots of character. It's a big wedding venue, so it may be tough to find a slot in June, although if your event is during the week it may be available.

--Grandover Resort hotel and golf course.

--the Lofts at Union Square.

--High Point Theatre.

--For a change of pace, you might consider having a catered event (barbecue, perhaps?) at City Lake Park in Jamestown, just minutes from High Point. It's a large faciilty with numerous activities such as boating, mini-golf and other games, rides, etc.. It's more of a family venue, but depending on your group it might be worth considering.

--Childress Vineyards, just a few miles south of High Point in Lexington, NC.

--Magnolia Manor in Greensboro.

--Of course, there are a number of large hotels in High Point and Greensboro that have meeting facilities, although most of them are rather vanilla and don't offer much in the way of the culture or history that you desire.

Google any of the above for details. You might also check the Convention & Visitors Bureau websites for Greensboro and High Point for more ideas. Good luck!
