New To Nag's Head

I am trying to plan a vacation for 15+ people in their late 20's. Any advice on locations in Nags Head. Or opinions about Nags Head versus other locations such as Ocean Isle or Kiawah Island? Any info would be useful...

Try starting your search at OBXconnection.com to learn about the area. There are many houses that can handle that size group in Nags Head. Try Joe Lamb or Village at Nags Head realty as a starting point. Prices are very different in season vs off season (Sept-May). Sept/Oct are the best months, but it is hurricane season.

The further south you go the warmer the ocean temp. I have been to Kill Devil/Nags Head and the water is really rough and in the 70's. We love Wrightsville Beach and the last several years stay on Ocean Isle Beach. Both of those beaches have wide flat beaches, with tons of shells and sharks teeth, not to mention the water temp is in the lower 80's. Check out photos of each area on trip advisor, research all info, I'm sure you will find a beach to your likeing.

Hey Sueleay,

Maybe Cuba will be even warmer, or Panama. The farther south you go the warmer the water, what an eye opener.

I love all 3 of those beaches but you will probably find more fun and a bigger house in Nags Head. Kiawah is wonderful but different from the others. It is more upscale, heavy on the golf and tennis but also a nature preserve. Kiawah is mostly contained on the island; at Nags Head you can get much more variety in terms of dining and entertainment. Beaches are fantastic at all 3.
