A great Seafood Feast

I am taking a weeks vacation in Nags Head at the end of September. My family and I are looking for a restaurant that will provide us with something comparable to a boiled pot of lobster, clams, scallops, you name it. Does anyone know of any restaurants in Nags Head that do this and that the food is great.

Not sure of any restaurants that do that but Seamark foods, grocery store will make you up a steamer pot that you take home and boil.

Seamark has closed, and is no longer in operation here. There are some good places to get fresh local seafood-try Austins in Nags Head. Also, there are a couple of the restaurants that have the steamer pots to go, and that may also work for you.

I'm pretty sure that a restaurant called Sugar Creek will do the steamer pots for you. I believe they have a restaurant and a take-out place called the Sugar Shack. here is the link http://www.sugarcreekseafood.com/

ive never eaten there but the view looks great!

I am in Nags Head right now (Sept 14, 2009) and we just got seafood from Austin's market yesterday. They have everything you could want, and there is a "farm stand" in the parking lot that sells fresh vegetables. We bought corn there and got the rest of the meal inside the market. Take a look at their website. The seafood is very fresh here and is delivered daily from the wharf over in Wanchese where the fishing boats unload their catch. I think they are quite a bit cheaper than the restaurants. http://austinseafoodco.com/

The place is easy to find and it is accessible from either the highway or the beach road. They have "steamers to go" or you can have them fix the food for you. They do need some advanced notice for the "steamers to go." Several sides come with the order. http://austinseafoodco.com/Menu2.html
