Super Jet is a small catamaran vessel carrying up to 300 passengers.
Her high speed comes with the cost. When the sea is a bit rough then the trip is not pleasant. In case of high wind then there is a case that the trip will be cancelled. It happened less than 10 times last summer, but I dont have an official statistic available to back this up.
On the trip from Milos to Mykonos usually its not late because Milos is the first stop. But on the way back (Mykonos to Milos) there will be some delays because it stops in all this ports and it is a bit difficult to keep up.
"Unfortunately" fro the time being this is the only way to connect from Milos to Mykonos.
any idea if this ferry/ route is reliable?
I'd love to go santorini - folegandros - milos - mykonos
does it make sense ?
Depart: Sat 08 Jun @ 18:25
Arrive: Sat 08 Jun @ 19:25
There are other ways of getting from Milos to Mykonos. The Aqua Jewel sometimes does that route via different islands. It will probably take longer but be more reliable and cheaper. You might also be able to do it by changing boats at Paros, Ios or Naxos. Whether that will work or not depends on the exact day you want to travel.
Greecemad is correct but Aqual Jewel's company has not yet announched this season timetables and of course it will be tops two/three times per week.
Milos Folegandros leg with Super Zjet can be ok because its close distance, still the weather limitations will apply.
I amplanning to contact all the "standard" ferry companies today so to have an idea of this season connection so if I will hv any news I will return to this thread for update
Yes, you can wait for more slow ferry timetables to travel between Santorini, Folegandros and Milos but the chances of getting a slow ferry from Milos to Mykonos are nil in the period you will be travelling. Mykonos is only put on the itinerary in late June. 2013 timetables are already out on the NEL ferries website.
thank you so much everyone !
Antonis, let us know :)
Right now, my back-up plan would be to go santorini-naxos-paros-mykonos but I would LOVE to go santorini-folegandros-milos-mykonos ! That would be a dream come true !
The problem is the ferry :(
Let us know if you hear from the "standard" ferry companies
thanks a lot !
Or maybe I could also do santorini-folegandros-paros-mykonos :)
But I would love to go to Milos
I'm soooooooo excisted to go there !
We took Superjet Naxos to Milos and a few days later Milos to Mykonos, last September. On the first trip it was running two hours late and the second one hour late. Sea conditions were moderate to rough but it was still very comfortable on board with allocated seats. The ships crew changed at Santorini resulting in a fifteen minutes stop here.
thank you very much !
