Flight into Trapani, where to stay?

Hi just looking for some advice.

I am thinking of booking cheap Ryanair flights into Trapani from Friday evening untill Monday evening. Is this long enough just to get a taste of sicily?

Transfer, we would like to take a taxi so we can get there quickly, how much is a taxi into the tourist area?

Can I have some advice on where we should stay, we would be looking for a cheapish b and b or hotel preferably with a pool, and must be walking distance to bars and restaurants as I dont want to rely on taxi's or pubic transport to much and I dont drive. Is there a beach?

Thanks Debbie

The weekend could perhaps give a taste of Trapani, but not necessarily Sicily.

There's no need for a taxi, since AST runs frequent and reliable bus service to Trapani from the airport, but there's a flat-rate of € 30,00 for a transfer.

Trapani isn't a pool type of town.

Trapani's historic centre is the most charming area of town.

There is a beach in the city, but not the nicest beach in the area. You could ferry to Favignana, or take the AST bus to San Vito Lo Capo.
