Daily trips from Trapani

Hi tripadvisors

I am going to spend 4 nights with my bf in Sicily. I know its short but I would like to make the best out of it.

We are landing in Trapani and I need advise what daily trips could we make from Trapani or what would definitely worth to visit.

We are adventure travellers so we would love to make a quad tour or rent a motorbike and go along the coast, or climb up on a mountain or take a boat to an island (i have no idea what are the possibilities).

Budget also an importancy, I would need advice as well what is the better way to travel, to rent a car or take public transport?

Is it possible in Sicily to rent a camperVAN? OR maybe it is more popular in Australia :-) Anyway thanks for any answers and advices!!

The streets are narrow in Sicily, so hire the smallest vehicle possible.

Trapani is the most convenient base for public transport – Take the train or AST from Trapani to Marsala or Mazara del Vallo; Marsala’s Servizio Municipale Autotrasporti Linea 4 to Mozia; AST from Trapani to San Vito Lo Capo; AST or the funivia to Erice; Tarantola to Segesta (not Sundays); Interbus to Palermo; the train to Castelvetrano and Autoservizi Salemi to Selinunte; Lumia to Agrigento; Ustica Lines or Siremar to the Egadi.

And in summer (begins in June), Autoservizi Salemi runs service to the saltpans.
