Safety of driving Gaspe Peninsula

Hi -

We're going to take 7 days for a clockwise drive of the Gaspe pulling our tent trailer. I get a little nervous when there are sheer drops on the side of roads - is this route nerve-wracking in that way?

There are rails (fences) and the road is wide enough. Lots of big hills though, make sure you have good brakes. Also, keep a look out for wild life, especially early morning and dusk.
